Packaging is where several independent quality questions land on the same product at the same moment: is it sealed, is it filled correctly, is the closure on properly, is the pack undamaged. Answering them one station at a time is slow and expensive.
It is also where traditional vision meets its hardest conditions — transparent film, reflective foil, varying fill lines and packs that are never presented twice in exactly the same way.
